​Early Life and Background

Anne Marie Kortright Martinez was born on March 14, 1982, in Nuremberg, Germany, on a U.S. Army base where her father was stationed. Of Puerto Rican descent, she was raised in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, immersing herself in the island's rich culture and traditions. Her early exposure to diverse environments likely contributed to her adaptability and global appeal in the modeling industry. 

Modeling Career

Kortright's modeling journey began at the age of 14 when she was featured in a Christmas spread for Puerto Rican magazine Imagen. Her early work also included features in Caras magazine. In 1997, she won the YM/Cover Girl model search, which led to her signing with the prestigious Wilhelmina Models agency. By the end of 2000, she had relocated to New York City to pursue modeling full-time. ​

Kortright's portfolio boasts collaborations with renowned brands such as Bobbi Brown, Levi's, Swatch, Cover Girl, Jockey, Jordache, Sephora, ESQ Watches, Redken, Reebok, and Yamamay. She has graced the covers of magazines including Latina, Shape, Caras, and Imagen, and has been featured in editorial spreads for Vogue Paris, Elle Accessories, Marie Claire, Glamour, Fitness, Maxim, Vis a Vis, Suede, and Cosmopolitan. ​

Her prominence in the modeling world was further solidified when she ranked #50 on Maxim's Hot 100 list in 2003.

She has also worked with esteemed photographer Bruce Weber on projects including the Cartier Book, Vogue Paris, a CD cover with Eros Ramazzotti, and campaigns for Ruehl. ​
